Our new Life Group series ‘Fruitfulness on the Frontline’ kicked off last week. We learnt that our Frontline primarily means a place or time where we regularly meet with people who don’t know Jesus, though it also includes all places in life where we invest time and energy: workplaces, neighbourhoods, social media, or amongst friends and family. So, Fruitfulness on the Frontline is basically exploring what it means to follow Jesus in the everyday places of life.

Last week we were all encouraged to take a photo of ourselves holding our pink spoon in our Frontline and then post it on the ‘Kruger Parade Baptist Church’ facebook group page. Some have already done this but keep on posting those photos and if you’re not in this closed group, then please ask online to join. Pastor Matt has extra pink spoons if needed.

There is still an opportunity to join a Life Group and be part of this exciting 8 week study, just contact Robyn or Ralph Daniel.

Kruger Men are starting back for 2017 this Monday 13th February. All men are invited to Men’s Table Talk which will be held at church from 7.30pm to 9.00pm. Come along and bring a mate as the men bring it to the table while discussing men’s issues. If interested please speak to Tim Iveson today.

Update from Kelsey, Rebecca and Johnny.
They have been granted their visa’s and
are back from Bangkok this week to
Myitkyina in the north of Myanmar to
complete their final month. Such great
news and answer to much prayer! They
will be resuming teaching normal lessons
on Monday after visiting an IDP camp on
Saturday. Food is the greatest need for the
people living in the IDP camps. More funds
raised were sent last Friday to help
purchase rice and other supplies. If you
want to donate further to their work over
there, knowing 100% will go to people in
need, then please give to the church
account ‘Kruger Parade Baptist Church’
BSB 704913 Acc 400038998 and put
‘Mission’ in the description line or speak to
Pastor Matt. Thanks for the generosity,
support and prayers from Kruger which is
helping Kelsey, Rebecca and Johnny to do
God’s work in their Frontline. Let’s
continue to uphold them in our prayers
during their final month away.

Please note that our next quarterly
member’s meeting will be held here on
Sunday 26th February at 11.30am. Come
along as it is a good chance to find out
what is happening in our church and any
future plans. All are welcome to come but
only members can vote. If anyone is
interested in church membership please
contact the church office.

From this Friday 17th to Monday 20th we’re
calling the church to join in 3 days of
prayer and fasting, to seek the heart of
God for his favour and direction over the
two pastoral positions that we are looking
to fill. Removing food from our day gives
us more time to pray, but also the hunger
can remind us regularly of the hunger we
need to have for the Lord for His church
and for these positions. If it’s not possible
to give up food, perhaps give up a few
meals or a type of food (only eat
vegetables) or how about giving up
technology for a weekend to focus on
prayer instead?

On Monday 20th at 7.30pm at church,
we’ll be concluding our weekend of prayer
and fasting by coming together to focus
our prayers on these two pastoral
positions. Please join us where we will
share the process and how things are
moving forward. We believe these two
roles will help us grow into the future that
God is calling us to, so we want God’s
direction and guidance through this
process. Copies of the general role
descriptions for the pastoral positions will
be on the table in the back of the
auditorium today.

The first Kruger Konnect event for 2017
will be held at Orion Lagoon on Saturday
18th February kicking off at 3pm. Come
for the afternoon or stay for dinner. All are
welcome. Bring along your friends and join
in the fun!

Hundreds turned out in Brisbane
yesterday to peacefully walk in the March
for Life. A new bill has been submitted into
state parliament wanting abortion to be
made legal. If you want to make your
voice heard, you can send a letter or email
to your local state representative or sign
the e-petition on the Qld Government
website. As this new bill is worded slightly
differently from the last, any signatures
obtained or correspondence received
previously are no longer counted. People
power knocked back the last bill but we
need to continue to be strong advocates
on this issue, as we serve the Creator of
