GUEST SPEAKERS TODAY!
This morning we welcome Pastor Godfrey from Voice of the Lord Assembly accompanied by his amazing worship team. We are excited to share with them as they bring their energetic, dancing, rhythmic celebration of African praise!
Tonight at our 5pm service we have Mark Broadbent coming back to share with us about relationships. Mark was here last year and spoke in our Big Questions series on how we are to engage with people who are gay from a Christian perspective. No doubt this will be another great opportunity to hear from God through Mark. Dinner will also be on after the service for $5, so a great night to come and bring friends!
Our next working bee will be held on Saturday 18th November from 7am-10am. As we will be cleaning the kitchen there will be no morning tea. Please come along for an hour or two to help get our church and grounds spruced up for the Christmas period. Please bring along gardening tools such as rakes and wheelbarrows as well as cleaning cloths and brushes.
CHRISTMAS CAROLS HELPERS
Help is needed on both nights of the carols Friday 1st & Sunday 3rd December from 5.30pm. There will be a sign up board in the hall today listing the various jobs needing to be done like setting up or selling different products. Don’t forget to sign your name where you can help. Next week, flyers will be available for delivering.
Our Annual General Meeting will be held on Sunday 26th November at 11.30am. Nominations have been received from Cassandra Canas, Jason Scheepers, Chenthini Srikandakumar and Hedley Rice for the role of Deacon and Brett Briggs, Robyn Daniel, Brendan Lennox, Joshua Pagaialii for the role of Elder. Thea Mende Gemma King and Stephen Macey will be stepping down as deacons. They will be missed and we thank them for their contribution. Ben & Bethany Dixon and Warren Collins will also be requesting membership. Please give prayerful consideration for all of these people.
If you coordinate a ministry of our church, could you please prepare a submission to be included in the Annual Reports book for this year. They are due today! Submissions ought to be a few hundred words, telling the story of what your ministry has been doing and the difference it’s making. They are best typed and emailed to our secretary Phillip McCallum.
A meeting for the Welcome Team members will be held after the morning service on Sunday 19th November. If you can’t attend or are interested in joining the team please contact Lex Adam.
It’s time to plan the Holiday Kids’ Church roster. If you can be available throughout the December-January school holidays to help supervise the 3 year olds to Year 2 children only through the sermon time, please let Judy Burridge know ASAP. No preparation is needed. Blue cards do need to be arranged if you don’t have one.

WEEKLY PRAYER FOCUS
Prayer is a vital part of both our Christian walk and our church’s well being. Each week we will be encouraging the church to pray for a different ministry in our church and the needs of our community. This week’s focus will be those who look after our Church Property.
Pray that many turn up and are willing to help with the upcoming Working Bee here next Saturday.
Pray for those who volunteer their time to look after our lovely Church Gardens and Grounds.
Pray for those who do the painting, renovating and repair jobs to our Church Building (both outside and inside) necessary for it to be a safe place to worship.
Pray for wisdom as the leadership team make decisions on how best to maintain our Church Property.
Other prayer points:
Please pray for Andrew and Joanne Accardo who were married here yesterday and have started their exciting journey as husband and wife.
Pray for the recent loss of members in the Texas church and that God might comfort them through this time and many might turn to Him instead of violence.
