CHRISTMAS SERVICE TIMES
Come along and celebrate the birth of our Lord and Saviour. There is a service tonight at 7pm and another tomorrow morning at 9am. Each service is different, so this is a great opportunity to invite family and friends to either or both of the services. The Christmas Eve service will feature an item by our sister church The Voice of the Lord Assembly who are combining with our worship team. The theme of the message is Our Reconciliation with God. After the service we will be sharing in a supper of fruit mince pies. Our Christmas morning service will feature a children’s story and a message on The Gift of Christmas.
UPCOMING SERVICE TIMES
Please note that for the next 2 weeks (31st December and 7th January) there will be a morning service only. There is no night service on New Years Eve and on the 7th January we will joining in with the City Prayer Meeting as detailed below.
CITY PRAYER MEETING
Come along and join with the gathering of Christians throughout Brisbane to pray for the peace of the city in the New Year on Sunday 7th January 5pm-6.30pm. Meet in King George Square Ann Street Brisbane at the Grand Ramp where we will share a few words of encouragement, some worship
and guided prayer together.
BREAD RUN OVER HOLIDAYS
The bread run will continue to operate over the school holidays at the regular time of 7.00-7.30pm on Friday nights.
Our church has once again participated in the Angel Tree ministry where we buy gifts for the innocent victims of crime who are often forgotten…children of prisoners. Thank you for the ladies who have helped make this possible. We have received a heartfelt testimony from one of our ladies who was able to have a wonderful conversation with the mother of the children she was buying present for. She was able to share the love of God through the generosity of the church and this has opened the door for more contact with the family in the New Year.

WEEKLY PRAYER FOCUS
Prayer is a vital part of both our Christian walk and our church’s well being. Each week we will be encouraging the church to pray for a different ministry in our church and the needs of our community. This week’s focus will be on Christmas and our our church families.
Please pray for the safety of all those who are travelling during the holiday period – for all travelling on our roads to visit family and friends and those going overseas.
Pray that this time will be a time of refreshment and renewal for those who have some time away or off work over the coming weeks.
Pray for those in our church family who need to work over the Christmas season and for whom this is the busiest time of the year.
Pray for those who struggle emotionally with the Christmas season because of grief and loneliness.
Other Prayer points:
Pray for the victims of the latest Melbourne attack on pedestrians. Pray for them to be comforted and for their healing.
Pray for our leaders as they struggle to find a solution to these type of incidents.
Pray for wisdom, compassion and the resources for those who work with people who suffer from mental health issues and those who struggle with addictions.
