Each yeah hundreds of people from our community come to our Easter Festival. There are many stations that we are looking for our awesome church family to volunteer at including story stations, face painting, balloon twisting, sausage sizzle, welcome team, kids craft, cake stall, easter egg hunt, temporary tattoos, games, first aid, laser tag, inflatables, water station, setup and pack up! The sign up board will be out this Sunday.

No matter where life takes you, God is always with you💛. This week we start Week 12 of our New Testament Bible Reading challenge where we will be finishing Hebrews and entering Galatians. We will be reading Hebrews 12-13 as well as Galations 1-3 over five days together.

We are excited to have our Friday night Kids & Youth ministries back on this week! Kids Club (Yr 1-3) has “Tag! You’re It!”, HYPE (Yr 4-6) has “Tie-Dye Night”, and Youth (Yr 7-12) has “Giant Games” planned. We look forward to seeing all our Kids & Youth there. Plus, these are all awesome nights to bring a friend along too!

Thanks to Pastor Josh for the delicious pancakes, Pastor Matt for the tasty coffees and hot chocolates, Wayne for getting there early to help set up and to everyone who came and brought snacks! We are so grateful for our amazing church community. We are praying for everyone’s safety over the next few days with all of the rain and wind. Join us tomorrow for a Church Hang Out over morning tea at 9:30am! This will be a great time to catch up and thank God for sparing us from the worst of what this cyclone might have brought to us. We’ll cook pancakes and have free tea, coffee and hot chocolates. Please bring a plate to share if you have any snacks left over. Toys will be out for kids and we plan to have some worship and prayer. If you have friends, neighbours or family in mind please share this post or invite them along as this will be a great time as a community supporting each other! Finally, our service will still be online at 8am with Ps Matt sharing the message.

At one of our recent Community Meals, Jenny painted a beautiful reminder of God’s care for us. Like nesting chicks, we can feel small and vulnerable in life’s storms, but God covers us, nourishes us and gives us a place to rest.

“He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.” Psalm 91:4

As Jenny painted, a real storm rolled in, sending everyone at the meal running for shelter in the church - just as we all find refuge in God. With rough weather approaching this week, may we remember that even in uncertainty, He is our shelter and strength.

As we enter Week 10 of the New Testament Bible Reading Challenge, we’ll be reading Hebrews 2 to 6 over five days! These chapters remind us that Jesus is our perfect High Priest, that we can approach God with confidence and that our hope in Him is firm and secure.
